Yoga Mat & Meditation
Yoga is a practice of movement initiated by breath, taking time to get into, stay with and move through each pose. This practice is great for beginners and suitable for all levels. We take time to explore safely, with breath and core muscles integrating each movement. Each Asana provides an opportunity to find stillness in the mind, to connect deeply within ourselves. Each pose is a reflection of the balance of effort and ease; an invitation to better connect within ourselves and the world around us. Asana, Yoga poses with a focus through meditation can be a lifelong source of personal transformation and a community refuge.
In 1998, Julie discovered yoga and meditation. She learned Asanas while living in Kathmandu, Nepal. Her practice grew out of a life long practice in floor movement, dedicated years of studying and teaching Tai Chi, Qi Gong and meditation.These are guided and explorative Yoga mat classes. She is currently enrolled in a POC Yoga Teacher Training with Rolf Gates in Berkeley, Ca.
