Based in the Ancient Arts of Eastern Healing, Thai Yoga Bodywork comes out of Ayurvedic (East Indian) medicine as developed through the temples of what is today known as Thailand. Thai Bodywork uses pressure points, pressing, kneading and stretching all parts of the body to achieve an actively, relaxed and decompressed body mind system. It is given on a comfortable floor mat, clothed and practitioner uses her body wisely to offer the most effective stretches and pressure. It's a powerful combination of two people's energies coming together for the purpose of healing.
Often called Ayurvedic Treatments, these bodywork sessions are deeply transformative sessions which address the whole person. Ayurveda, medical practices from East India, looks at the health of a person in physical, spiritual and mental form. These treatments include a brief intake with possible home treatments and remedies and a long session of bodywork which balances the lymphatic system through the use of tamed oils, hot stones and towels and deep, soothing massage. These sessions are both informative and relaxing and can be a regular part of any health or pain management program.
You may choose to blend a session of Thai Bodywork with Pilates. Start with deep muscle release through pressure points, pressing, stretching and opening the body followed by a Pilates Private where you immediately put your newly restored body to work. These sessions can be very effective for both relaxing to re build and for gaining insight into the body/mind holding white discovering great, new ways to access and strengthen the core. Bothe energizing and relaxing, these sessions provide time to unwind and reset old patterns.
